Our aims

Making every day a good day

Comprehensive Care Services Ltd supports people living in their own homes to improve their quality of life while keeping their independence and personal choice.

Our aim is to make every day a good day for every one of our clients. We achieve this by providing the best care to every client, every day, and by encouraging clients and their families to live as independently as possible.

Our ethos is empowerment, inclusion and person-centred care, communicated in everything we do.

Our values

What we stand for

Five commitments shape how we plan, deliver and improve the care we provide.

01

To meet assessed needs

Before we provide any service, a potential service user's needs and preferences are thoroughly assessed. Care is designed around those needs, reassessed as often as necessary, and flexible enough to respond as requirements change.

02

To focus on service users

We provide personal care and support in ways that create positive outcomes for the people we support and promote their active participation in everyday life.

03

To be fit for purpose

We examine our operations constantly to make sure we are achieving our stated aims. We welcome feedback from service users, their families and relatives.

04

A commitment to quality

We are fully committed to high quality services and to continuously improving the level of care we offer. We will always employ a quality workforce.

05

Community involvement

We work for the complete welfare of every service user, co-operating with other services and professionals to maximise independence and participation in the community.

Objectives

How we put our values into practice

Guided by our values, these are the objectives we hold ourselves to.

  1. 1

Deliver the service flexibly, attentively and without discrimination, respecting each person's right to independence, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, informed choice and the right to take risks.

  2. 2

Respect each person's needs and values in matters of religion, culture, race or ethnic origin, sexuality, political affiliation, marital status, parenthood, disability and impairment, and make sure equal opportunities exist.

  3. 3

Deliver care in accordance with agreed purchasing contracts or individual care agreements.

  4. 4

Run a formal programme of staff planning, selection, recruitment, training, retention and development so every care need is met by suitable, qualified workers.

  5. 5

Give staff the training and personal development they need to perform their duties in the most effective way.

  6. 6

Match care and support workers as closely as possible with each person, and change the worker if the match is not right.

  7. 7

Complete an environmental and ergonomic health and safety risk assessment in the home of every new service user, reporting any concerns, while respecting the person's right to take risks.

  8. 8

Give every service user written information on how to make complaints, comments and compliments, and how to use that process.
